Modern Palm Springs Wedding at Casa Cody

This modern Palm Springs desert wedding at Casa Cody is the epitome of cool. I loved creating all of the floral designs for the couple of honor, Katie and Andrew! The rich colors and modern details were a match made in heaven for this outdoor wedding. Casa Cody is a wonderful venue tucked away in Palm Springs with a sweet view of the San Jacinto Mountains. By day, it is a luxury bed and breakfast hotel but luckily, you can host your wedding at this unique spot. They can accommodate up to 200 guests which makes it a lovely option for a range of different needs. The lush gardens, Spanish architecture, and location are hard to beat. If you are ready to be inspired, keep reading! Let’s take a look at this modern Palm Springs wedding at Casa Cody together.

The Wedding Couple

This couple has their style down! They wore elegant outfits with modern twists. The accessories are everything. From a sparkly jacket and sunglasses to some cool sneakers, Katie and Andrew looked amazing for their big day. Of course, the floral accessories tied their outfits together. I created this dreamy ‘berries and cream’ bouquet for Katie while Andrew wore a complimenting boutonniere. Look at all of that texture! Of course, the couple posed with their sweet pup and showed off their outfits for portraits after sharing a first look.

Wedding Ceremony

A natural floral and greenery backdrop overlooking the mountains set the scene for the ceremony. I added a floral arch complete with all of the couple’s wedding colors. To allow the setting to shine, we opted to keep the arch lower to the ground. As a floral designer, I consider all of the aspects of each wedding day! Every couple’s style and budget along with their unique venue needs are super important. This arch fit seamlessly into the ceremony location, highlighting how beautiful the setting at Casa Cody is!

Wedding Reception Design

While we are on the subject of the wedding arch, let’s talk about reusing your floral pieces. After the ceremony, this feature was utilized at the bar. Doesn’t it look so lovely? There are many different ways to reuse your floral pieces throughout the day to make the most of them! So, don’t abandon those beautiful aisle markers or floral arches after the ceremony is over. Bring them along for the reception!

While Katie and Andrew captured more photos with their wedding party, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour by the pool. Simple shades of purple and blush centerpieces with candles on the cocktail tables created an inviting space for guests. Then, for the reception, we moved over to a courtyard under string lights! Each table was decorated with a row of abundant florals in chic black vases and coral taper candles. The long tables and geometric chairs offered the base for this colorful design.

I hope you loved checking out all of the details from this Casa Cody wedding. If you are planning your Palm Springs or California wedding, let’s chat! I would love to bring your floral dreams to life for your wedding day.
