We’ve got a La Quinta Resort and Club wedding with colorful fall desert sunset inspired colors! The couple wanted colors that evoked the warm tones and landscape of the desert surrounding the venue. I filled her bouquet to the brim with blush mums, peach ranunculus, rain tree pods, and taupe lisianthus flowers. For this fall desert wedding I mixed in some beautifully dried fern, naturally dried by Velvet Curation Co. As a floral designer, I strive for sustainable designs for my clients (and the planet), I prioritize sourcing dried ingredients that haven’t been dyed or bleached. This was very important to this couple as well! The bride’s bouquet is topped off with gorgeous silk ribbon from Tono & Co. Lets check out these gorgeous lovers!
The bride chose a chic, modern dress and the groom wore a tan suit. The colors just pop against their beautiful style.
The wedding party was nothing short of – well, a party! The bridesmaids wore an assortment of dresses in terra cotta, rust and olive colors. Everything came together beautifully with the colors of everyone’s outfits! Hair was by Artistry by Samantha Rae and makeup by Beauty by Ruby Cruz.
The couple opted for growing garden florals for their aisle entrance, all of the copper, rust and blush florals punctuated the lawn at their ceremony site. The best part about designing ground florals is they can repurposed for your reception.
We got to flower this half crescent arch the couple bought on Etsy. It frames the beautiful mountains and surrounding landscape beautifully. All of the floral arrangements were designed without floral foam. Instead, we use Agra Wool, a natural floral foam along with moss and re-usable chicken wire. We never use floral foam in any of our design.
We arranged light, airy blooms in bud vases along the center of the long tables and clustered them together on the round tables. This kept the reception florals delicate and understated. Accompanied by bronze tapers and candles from Yummi Candles in the color “Sandstone.”
We love giving ceremony florals their “second act” in the reception. We repurposed florals from the ceremony at the bar and at the sweetheart table. Keep in mind your florist and/or their team will need to stay on site to make this happen and ensure the designs complement their new spots.
The way photographer Schaelynne from Dehaan Photo captured the couple, their loved ones and all of this beautiful desert light was amazing.
Everything came together seamlessly thanks to their planner, Carissa from Everly by MGE. As shown above, with seasonal florals as well as an amazing team and a fun couple, this wedding turned out to be not only colorful but also incredibly enjoyable!
